8 more days until Thanksgiving Day. . . Today I am thankful for the words my father’s parents told me many years ago. They were so thrilled they had become great-grandparents. I shared with them that I was struggling with something as a single mom. First, my grandmother said, “You must remember, the impossible only takes a little longer.” And my grandfather softly said to me, “You just keep taking good care of your boy, and everything else will be just fine.” And for their encouragement that day, I am deeply thankful.
They had been married for 70 years when my grandmother passed away. It was the first time I saw my grandfather cry. A few years later PaPa died peacefully in his sleep when he was 98. And he had a good day that day. I am thankful for sweet family memories.

This is very touching. The image of a couple being married for 70 years is beautiful. I am catching up on your “giving thanks” series. Very inspiring!
I feel grateful whenever I read one of your comments or one of your posts. Thank you kindly!
